Our Story

"Aspire to inspire before you expire."

 ~ Eugene Bell Jr.

At Darul Sadaqa786, we are driven by a single goal; to provide your charity dollars with the maximum outreach through a variety of ongoing projects and special funding.  Our name literally translates to "House of Charity" in Arabic and we strive to embody the Islamic principle that charity never decreases one's wealth.

Outreach Programs

Healthcare for the Poor

The best remedy when we are suffering ourselves health-wise is to sponsor the cost of an impoverished person's treatment of the same condition.  At Darul Sadaqa786 we provide monthly support to various hospitals which provide free/nominal cost treatment to the poor in third-world countries.

Feedback from Our Beneficiaries and Supporters

From One of Our Beneficiaries

“Thank you all for our latest project.  Iffath Aunty’s support means a lot to us.  We distribute zakat in Pakistan.  70 percent of our beneficiaries are women and children.  Your donations have helped us in constructing a health clinic in Azad Kashmir.  May Allah SWT count this support towards your good deeds on the Day of Judgment.”

From a Longtime Supporter

“It is a blessing and barakah from Allah SWT to be a part of this great initiative which started from envelope collections in a local mosque to Zelle donations to support the needy across the globe.  I trust all the venders and recommend our friends to be part of this sadaqa jaariya.”

From One of Our Beneficiaries

“Ours is a small non-profit to help  refugees find homes.  We support refugees with basic needs and help them find their footing in a new country.  JazakAllah Khair for your support.”

Islamic Rationale of Giving Sadaqa

Quran

And the example of those who donate their wealth, seeking Allah’s pleasure and believing the reward is certain, is that of a garden on a fertile hill: when heavy rain falls, it yields up twice its normal produce. If no heavy rain falls, a drizzle is sufficient. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do. (2:265)

Hadith

“Charity does not decrease one’s wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.” (Sahih Muslim)
